must see: march 2011

Welcome to March! This month, an incredible amount of interesting and highly anticipated films will be released. So here are the film’s I know I’m going to try my best to watch this month (thank you Spring Break!), and I hope you all get to watch as well. The release dates I’ve put up are the U.S. release dates. (All synopses are from IMDb unles otherwise stated.

Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives

(March 4)

Synopsis: A dying Uncle Boonmee has chosen to spend his final days surrounded by his loved ones in the countryside. Surprisingly, the ghost of his deceased wife appears to care for him, and his long lost son returns home in a non-human form. (March 11)

Synopsis: Set in Italy, the Iranian master Abbas Kiarostami’s latest stars Juliette Binoche, the 2010 Cannes Film Festival’s poster star. (March 11)
